From October 1, license plates can be sold in Uzbekistan

Starting October 1, 2025, new rules on vehicle license plates will take effect in Uzbekistan.

Car owners will now be able not only to keep their plates but also to officially transfer them to another person. To complete the process, a payment equal to 50% of the plate’s base value must be made.

This regulation was introduced under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 562, adopted on September 4, 2025.
