Mobile operators in Uzbekistan connect directly to the internet

Mobile communication operators in Uzbekistan will be able to connect directly to the internet without intermediaries, Kursiv.media reported. This opportunity was approved by a government decision.

Operators were allowed to connect directly to international internet networks on an experimental basis until January 1, 2030. This right is applied for commercial activities and providing services to users.

The Ministry of Digital Technologies emphasized that this decision was made to encourage investments in the telecom market, ensure information security, and adapt Uzbekistan's legislation to WTO requirements.
