A new historical stage - diplomatic relations - has been established between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Kenya. This important event took place on September 20 in New York City.

During the event, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, and the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, Musaliya Mudavadi, signed an official communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

After the signing ceremony, Bakhtiyor Saidov recognized Kenya as one of the fastest-growing countries in Africa, demonstrating stable economic growth. He also noted that Kenya is currently one of the leading centers in the region in the field of technology and innovation.

During the conversation, the parties discussed areas of comprehensive cooperation that directly serve the interests of the two peoples. Through this, opportunities for strengthening trade, investment, technological, and cultural ties were identified.

It should be noted that Kenya became the 163rd country in history to establish official diplomatic relations with Uzbekistan. This was an important step in Tashkent's newly formed policy of dialogue and partnership with the African continent.
