At the age of 94, the outstanding statesman and public figure, State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Ismail Jurabekov has passed away.
Jurabekov, who performed important state functions during the reign of Islam Karimov, will go down in history as a figure who made a worthy contribution to the development of the country.
The deceased recalled in his memoirs that the first president of Uzbekistan ordered him to blow up the bridge connecting Afghanistan, but he did not implement this decision and thereby preserved relations between the two peoples.
Undoubtedly, the life and work of Jurabekov left an indelible mark on the history of our country, and his name will remain an example for future generations.
