In order to improve the public transport system, the Tashkent city administration presented updated plans for the creation of infrastructure for separate bus lanes (BRT - Bus Rapid Transit) in the capital.

According to the khokimiyat official Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov, within the framework of the project, the BRT system will be implemented on 10 main streets of the city. The total length of the corridors will be about 51 kilometers.

The location of entry and exit posts to the city will also be reviewed, and their relocation is planned. It was noted that these measures will contribute to reducing traffic congestion, increasing traffic safety, and creating convenience for passengers. It is planned to allocate 126 million dollars for the implementation of the project.
