According to the Law "On State Pension Provision of Citizens," certain categories of citizens are granted the right to retire on preferential terms. This right is determined depending on their profession, working conditions, and length of service.
According to the new procedure, employees of certain sectors will have the opportunity to retire regardless of age or 10 or 5 years before the generally established retirement age.
In particular, the right to a preferential pension will be granted to war invalids, mothers raising children with disabilities from childhood, liliputs, and dwarfs.
The following categories of citizens, regardless of age, may retire early:
- Leading specialists in the mining industry (with at least 20 years of work experience);
- miners and construction workers who have worked full-time for 25 years in underground and open-pit mining;
- Pilots and representatives of the test flight crew (with at least 25 years of work experience for men and 20 years for women);
- Artists of the theater and entertainment industry (with 20, 25, or 30 years of creative work experience);
- Certain categories of athletes (with 20 years of work experience).
At the same time, the document revised the procedure for making changes to the list of industries, institutions, professions, and positions providing preferential pensions.
Now, enterprises must be certified for working conditions, safety level, and injury risk to make changes or additions to the list.
The new procedures are aimed at further strengthening the social protection of workers depending on their working conditions.
