
President of Finland Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan from October 29 to November 1.
Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to hold high-level talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the conversation, issues of bringing cooperation between the two countries to a new level will be discussed.
The agenda includes the following areas:
intensification of political dialogue;
expansion of trade, economic, and investment ties;
strengthening cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
According to experts, this visit will open a new page in relations between Uzbekistan and Finland. It is expected that the parties will also discuss the possibilities of joint projects in the fields of energy, "green" technologies, education, and the digital economy.
Diplomatic sources note that Alexander Stubb's visit is one of the important steps towards strengthening Finland's attention to the Central Asian region.
