Hitting gambling sites: more than 70 portals blocked

The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan studied the activities of websites promoting gambling. During the monitoring, a total of 86 internet resources were inspected, and it was established that most of them violated the requirements of current legislation.

According to the results of the analysis, about 70 websites operating illegally were blocked. These resources advertised betting, risk-based games, and illegal gambling platforms to users.

According to Article 46 of the Law "On Advertising," advertising of gambling and other risk-based games is strictly prohibited in Uzbekistan. The Competition Committee continues to take measures in cases of violation of this requirement.
