On December 12, 2025, within the framework of the meeting of the jury of the Sheikh Zayed Human Brotherhood International Award, the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, met with Pope Leo XIV.
At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the areas of expanding human brotherhood and intercultural understanding. Mirziyoyeva and the Pope emphasized the importance of promoting approaches based on mutual respect and trust at the international level.
They also noted that representatives of various faiths, including Catholics, live in an atmosphere of peace and harmony in Uzbekistan. The main goal of the award is to strengthen values on a global scale.
During the conversation, readiness was expressed to develop cooperation in strengthening trust and promoting the principles of humanism and brotherhood throughout the world.
