On March 5, it was reported that a drone attack was carried out on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. The incident caused concern in the region.
In this regard, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov. During the conversation, the Azerbaijani diplomat provided detailed information about the attack on Nakhchivan.
It was reported that civilians were injured and civilian infrastructure was damaged as a result of the drone attack.
The Uzbek side expressed serious concern about this attack and emphasized that such actions contradict the principles of international law. It was also noted that any actions that violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another state are absolutely unacceptable.
