Sharp cooling and snowfall expected in March

Cold and humid air currents are expected to enter Uzbekistan from March 9 to 12. According to meteorologists, weather conditions across the republic will change drastically during these days. Specifically, intermittent rain is forecast between March 9 and 11, which may turn into snow in some areas. Heavy precipitation is especially likely in mountainous and foothill regions.
The deterioration of weather will also be accompanied by increased wind speeds. In some parts of the republic, wind speeds may reach 15-20 m/s, and up to 22-25 m/s in certain areas. This requires caution from the public.
Air temperatures will drop significantly from March 10 to 12. In northern regions, temperatures will be 7-10 degrees below zero at night and 0-3 degrees below zero during the day. In other regions, temperatures are expected to drop to 0-3 degrees below zero at night and 2-5 degrees above zero during the day on March 11-12. Citizens are advised to take weather changes into account.
