The number of foreigners arriving in Uzbekistan for educational purposes is increasing significantly.

According to the National Statistics Agency, a total of 15,124 foreign citizens visited the country for education between January and March 2026.

This figure is 8,500 more than in the same period last year, marking an increase of nearly 2.3 times.

According to the data, the highest number of students came from Turkmenistan, totaling 7,174.

Additionally, 2,835 students from India, 1,170 from Tajikistan, and 641 from China chose Uzbekistan.

It is reported that 483 students arrived from the Kyrgyz Republic, 438 from Pakistan, 353 from Egypt, and 342 from South Korea.

286 citizens from the Philippines and 191 from the USA visited for educational purposes.

The remaining 1,211 foreign students account for other countries.
