Trump's special envoy: "The war in Ukraine can be ended in a matter of months"

US President Donald Trump's special representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said that the head of state intends to put pressure on both the Russians and the Ukrainians to end the conflict. He believes that a ceasefire can be achieved within a few months.

"If we can stop this war, it will benefit the whole world, including the United States. A ceasefire and a permanent peace can happen within a few months," Kellogg said in an interview with Fox News.

Journalists asked the special representative whether the Donald Trump administration would impose new sanctions against Russia. Kellogg said that he was not authorized to answer on this topic.

Earlier, Donald Trump told reporters that the United States had already discussed the issue of ending the conflict with Russia and Ukraine. He also announced that he would soon have a serious talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
