Dmitry Medvedev said that Ukraine has two ways out

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called on Ukraine to “fall at the feet of the Americans”, hold presidential elections in the country and prepare for surrender.

According to Medvedev, this is one of the ways out for Ukraine after US President Donald Trump came to power. He claimed that the Ukrainian president “has bewitched Trump with his tricks”.

“They have two ways. The first: to fall at the feet of the Americans, immediately announce elections and prepare for an unpleasant outcome of the war. In essence, surrender,” he said.

Medvedev emphasized that the second path, which has already been tested by the Ukrainian leadership, is “to make peace with oneself.”

On February 3, Trump offered Ukraine assistance from the United States in exchange for rare earth metals. This group includes 17 elements: scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, and others. Later, he estimated the amount of the deal at $500 million and emphasized that in exchange for rare earth metals and gas, Washington would provide Ukraine with security guarantees in any possible peace agreement. According to the White House, the United States intends to receive rare earth metals from Ukraine to compensate for the funds spent on supporting Kiev.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine does not intend to share its resources with the United States for free, but is ready for an agreement on joint development of minerals. He explained this by saying that “the Americans have helped more than anyone else.” However, Zelensky refused to sign the document. The United States has handed Ukraine a new version of the agreement on minerals. The Ukrainian leader's advisers recommended that the president sign it and "not enter into a new conflict" with Trump.
