Trump said that Zelensky will come to Washington on February 28

US President Donald Trump announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Washington on February 28. He noted this during the opening of the first meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“We are doing very well with Russia and Ukraine. President Zelensky is coming on Friday. And we are going to sign a very big deal. I want to thank Howard [Commerce Secretary] and Scott [Treasury Secretary] for putting everything together and doing a great job. You guys have done a really great job. This is about minerals and other materials,” Trump said.

He added that the US had managed to reach a "deal" in which it would receive "a lot of money in the future" for its assistance to Kiev. "Everything is in place. We are pleased," Trump said.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president confirmed that an agreement had been reached with the US on the development of the country's natural resources. According to Zelensky, the main issues he raised during the negotiations with the American side were correctly reflected in the text of the agreement.
