Russian army bombards Pokrovsk: casualties reported

Russian forces carried out two attacks on Pokrovsk on March 10, reports "Sospilne. Donbass" citing Anastasia Medvedeva, the spokesperson for the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office.

According to officials, the occupiers shelled the frontline city at night and again around 11 AM. The first attack killed a 76-year-old man, while the second injured a 37-year-old civilian, who sustained shrapnel wounds to the thigh.

Law enforcement is currently investigating the type of weaponry used in the attack. However, since there are civilian casualties, prosecutors have already launched a pre-trial investigation into violations of war laws (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As of early March 2025, more than 3,000 civilians remained in Pokrovsk. Over the past week, around 500 people agreed to evacuate. Meanwhile, Russian forces continue their bombardment of the city.

Additionally, Russian troops have changed tactics—reducing attacks on Pokrovsk while reinforcing their positions in Toretsk. This shift is attributed to tactical successes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
