Ukrainian delegation to participate in talks with Russia to end war
The head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, will head a special delegation to participate in negotiations with Russia to end the war. Yermak's deputy, Pavlo Palisa, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov are also part of the delegation. This composition was approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It is worth noting that this delegation also participated in negotiations with the United States in Saudi Arabia on March 11.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga stressed that the main goal of the delegation is to achieve a "just peace" through cooperation with international partners. According to him, Yermak has the right to change the composition and involve government officials, scientific advisers, and experts, if necessary.

Meanwhile, while Ukraine has accepted the US's 30-day ceasefire offer during the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not immediately agreed to it, saying he would prefer to discuss the details of the talks. Putin has also put forward conditions for Ukraine to receive weapons, stop mobilization and military training. Donald Trump is expecting the Kremlin's response to be clarified by March 17.

According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, Russia is deliberately prolonging the process of ending the war because it wants to improve its position on the battlefield. Ukraine is also forming a special team to prepare and monitor the ceasefire process. Its main task is to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire regime.

Andriy Sybiga, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, acknowledges the complexity of the negotiations, noting: "We have bitter experience. There have been 25 ceasefires, but all of them have been violated by Russia." Therefore, Ukraine emphasizes the need for strong mechanisms to control the front line and counter provocations in the current era. Sibiga also noted that clashes are taking place every day on the 1,300-kilometer front line and that it is necessary to attract observers from international organizations to monitor this.

There are also calls from Ukraine to put pressure on Russia and force it to cease fire. This, in turn, will provide an opportunity to sit down at the negotiating table and achieve a lasting and just peace.

Andriy Sibiga also emphasized that no state in the world has the right to hinder the choice of the Ukrainian people to join any alliance or to limit the country's military capabilities.
