Pilot forgets passport, flight turns back with 257 aboard
On March 22, a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai had to turn back mid-air after one of the pilots realized they had forgotten their passport, Nova24.uz reported, citing CNN.

The aircraft was carrying 257 passengers and 13 crew members. About two hours into the flight, it was rerouted to San Francisco.

“The pilot did not have their passport. We arranged a new crew to ensure our customers reached their destination that same evening. Passengers were provided with meal vouchers and compensation,” the airline stated.

Four hours later, a replacement crew departed from San Francisco and the plane arrived in Shanghai approximately six hours behind schedule.
