A torchlight procession was organized in the Armenian capital Yerevan to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide committed during the Ottoman Empire. During the rally, which started from Republic Square, some participants burned the national flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
In this regard, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed a very sharp reaction. This was reported by his press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
"Prime Minister Pashinyan considers such actions irresponsible and completely unacceptable. It is natural that such behavior against the internationally recognized flags of a state, especially neighboring countries, is strongly condemned by the Prime Minister. Such actions are nothing more than provocation and intrigue," Baghdasaryan said.
He noted that at the same time, Nikol Pashinyan also condemns the shooting of a residential building by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the village of Khoznavar, Syunik region. He called on the Azerbaijani side to comprehensively study the situation and quickly provide an official explanation for the events that occurred.
It should be noted that such events can seriously harm international relations. Therefore, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan calls for avoiding any actions that could escalate the conflict. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
