Russia may introduce a mandatory certificate confirming the absence of HIV infection for labor migrants, the nova24.uz website reported.
According to TASS, this proposal was put forward by the State Duma. The bill was developed by Yaroslav Nilov, chairman of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs.
Currently, migrants planning to work in Russia have 30 days to undergo medical screening. For those entering the country for more than 90 days, the period is extended to 90 days.
Under the new proposal, a foreign citizen crossing the border would need to provide proof of medical insurance and test results confirming the absence of HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis, and tuberculosis.
These tests must be conducted no more than 10 days before entry into Russia. In addition, a drug test confirming the absence of narcotic and psychotropic substances must be taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
