
On May 6, Russian forces launched ballistic and drone strikes on Ukrainian territory. One of the most severe attacks occurred in the Sumy region. According to Oleg Grigorov, the head of the regional administration, three civilians were killed in the Russian ballistic attack - a 20-year-old woman, a 41-year-old man and a 6-year-old boy.
"A total of eight people were injured, four of them children. Two of the injured are currently in critical condition," Grigorov said.
Later in the day, Russia also launched an attack on the city of Zaporizhia with Shahed drones. According to Ivan Fedorov, the head of the regional military administration, the city was hit at least 13 times. The city's infrastructure was seriously damaged, and some buildings were destroyed. According to preliminary information, people may be trapped under the rubble. Emergency services are currently conducting rescue operations at the scene.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 136 Shahed attack drones and drone simulators against Ukraine from various directions on the night of May 6. 54 of them were shot down, and another 70 simulators were destroyed.
With such air strikes, Russia is seriously threatening the security of civilians in the territories of Ukraine.
