
On May 7, 2025, an international scientific-practical conference on urban transport systems and road infrastructure will be held in Saratov, upl.uz reported.
The event, organized by the Saratov Regional Road Administration, will take place at the Museum of Military and Labor Glory in Victory Park. It will host road experts from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, who are taking part in an international auto rally marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II.
The rally route includes cities such as Brest, Minsk, Polotsk, Pskov, St. Petersburg, Tver, Moscow, Tula, Ryazan, Tambov, Saratov, and Volgograd. Along the way, participants evaluate the condition of highways. The delegation is expected to arrive in Saratov on May 6.
Prominent participants include Buri Karimov, academician of the International and Russian Academy of Transport; Sergey Andreev, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Transport Executive Committee; Vadim Donchenko, Chair of the Scientific Council for Urban Public Transport; Andrey Shestopalov, secretary of the same committee; Denis Frolov, Development Director at Transport Systems; and Alexander Morozov, Vice President of the International Association of Urban Electric Transport.
Government officials, scholars, and transport company leaders from Saratov will also attend.

As part of the event, participants will visit the memorial in Victory Park and lay wreaths at the Eternal Flame in memory of World War II.
In 2024, over 300 kilometers of roads were repaired in Saratov Region using advanced diagnostic technologies.
