Finland and Sweden are joining forces in sanctions against Israel!

The Finnish government has officially announced its support for Sweden's proposal to impose sanctions on Israeli ministers at the European Union level. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the statement of the country's Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen.

According to the minister, Helsinki supports the Stockholm initiative to impose restrictions at the EU level on certain representatives of the Israeli government. In his opinion, these measures should be a response to Israel's systematic violation of Palestinian rights.

At the same time, the UK had previously raised the issue of imposing sanctions on members of the Israeli Cabinet. The London government officially confirmed the introduction of restrictive measures against seven Israeli officials and seven other legal entities.

In recent months, criticism of Israeli policy has also been growing among Western European countries. In particular, the Spanish parliament adopted a resolution to ban arms sales to Israel, which caused a great resonance in the international community.

Such a sharp increase in the position of the countries that are traditional allies of Europe against Israel may lead to the emergence of new diplomatic conflicts in the international arena.
