A case has recently caused a stir in India. It has been revealed that 23-year-old Anuradha Paswan, a candidate, married men proposed to her through various platforms and agencies, and then defrauded them of their property. This was reported by The Economic Times.
Paswan has so far married 25 men in different states in seven months. But the scenario that followed was almost the same in all cases: a few days after the wedding, the bride disappeared from her new home with money, gold and expensive electronics.
This interesting scheme, which has caused financial losses to many people, was revealed after a complaint to the police by a man named Vishnu Sharma. According to him, his bride, who got married on April 20, took all her valuables and left on May 2.
Paswan's criminal activities were organized through agencies, and he searched for a groom through WhatsApp and other online platforms. To expose the fraud, one of the police officers secretly played the role of a "groom" and managed to catch him using the "live trap" method.
It turned out that Anuradha Paswan, after her previous marriage ended in a domestic dispute, moved to another city and joined a criminal group there.
At the moment, law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into this case. It is said that the number of victims may increase.
