Thousands of people were injured in Turkey on Eid al-Adha - what was the reason?
Thousands of people were injured during the Eid al-Adha sacrifices in Turkey, according to Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu, who posted the news on social media.

The minister said that on the first day of Eid al-Adha, 14,372 people were injured during the sacrificial slaughter. The highest number of injuries was recorded in Ankara (1,049 people), followed by Istanbul (753) and Konya (655). These incidents have put a huge strain on hospitals across the country.

The country's Health Ministry did not provide details on the exact causes of the injuries or their severity. However, in many cases, it is believed that people who do not have professional experience in performing the sacrificial slaughter themselves can cause various unpleasant situations.

Minister Kemal Memisoğlu, commenting on the situation, stressed the need to pay special attention to security measures during the sacrifice process and repeatedly emphasized that this work should be entrusted to qualified specialists.

It should be noted that Eid al-Adha is one of the greatest and most important holidays in Islam. In Turkey, this holiday is celebrated on a large scale every year, and sacrificing animals is one of the most widespread traditions. Millions of people across the country participate in this ceremony. However, many people ignore the necessary security measures and practices during the sacrifice ceremony, which leads to injuries to many people.

In order to avoid such situations, the Turkish government issues special instructions every year before the holiday and asks citizens to perform the sacrifice ceremonies only in specially designated places and under the supervision of qualified professionals.

This year, despite the increased security measures in connection with the holiday, it was found that such unpleasant situations occurred on a significant scale.

Experts and doctors recommend the proper use of special tools during the sacrifice process, as well as limiting the participation of people who do not have professional skills in this ceremony.

It should be noted that this year, Eid al-Adha was celebrated in Turkey on June 6, and large-scale ceremonies were held across the country. Such unpleasant incidents indicate the need to pay more serious attention to safety during such major traditions.
