Zelensky: Russian attacks are destroying Ukrainian history and holy sites
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia's recent missile strikes are causing not only military, but also historical and spiritual losses for the country. According to him, the strikes carried out by Russia are destroying not only residential areas, but also objects of the country's ancient, cultural and religious heritage.

The president said that a maternity hospital in Odessa was directly hit. At the same time, the Odessa Film Studio, which holds a special place in the history of Ukrainian cinema, was also seriously damaged. "This is tantamount to the loss of history and culture that have been formed over decades," Zelensky said.

St. Sophia Cathedral in Kiev - one of the most sacred historical monuments of the country - was partially damaged in the explosion. Zelensky described the incident as an “attack on human values,” and stressed:

“The damage to Hagia Sophia is a great tragedy for any Muslim, Christian, or person who respects history. But for Russia, it is completely irrelevant. They only know destruction, destruction, and leaving nothing behind. The whole world must stop this violence together.”

It is clear from the president’s words that the Ukrainian government is defending not only its own people, but also universal human values. Such actions by Russia are being viewed as an attack not only on Ukraine, but also on world culture and civilization.

The current situation requires a firm and united position of the international community and its active participation in stopping the violence. Because preserving peace and historical heritage is an important task not only for Ukraine, but for all of humanity.
