Amid the ongoing crisis in Iran and the tensions worrying the international community, the country's last crown prince, Reza Pahlavi, issued a statement urging his people and the entire world to reflect deeply. According to him, the only real solution for Iran today is to support a popular uprising against the Islamic Republic regime and to restore justice and freedom in the country.
In his message posted on social media, Reza Pahlavi sharply criticized the Islamic Republic for squandering the wealth and resources of the Iranian people, spending billions of dollars on uranium enrichment and secret nuclear programs. According to him, these actions have not only brought Iran to economic crisis and international isolation but have also pushed it to the brink of war. "This regime deceived the world for years, but now its true and dangerous face has become clear. It is time to hold the Islamic Republic accountable," said Pahlavi.
He referred to historical facts and reminded that during the Pahlavi era, Iran was one of the first countries to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. However, today the International Atomic Energy Agency accuses the Islamic Republic of violating the agreement and revealing the construction of new nuclear facilities. "These plans and directions once again prove that the regime is completely unreliable and unworthy of trust in international negotiations. Any cooperation only strengthens its power," he added.
According to Pahlavi, the main alternative force against the Islamic Republic is the people themselves. He called on everyone to support the Iranian people who dream of a peaceful, prosperous, and free life, capable of building a future together with the world. He recommended that the international community act in two directions: first — to reinstate maximum pressure and sanctions on the regime; second — to provide comprehensive assistance to the people fighting for freedom.
He stressed that today there is a society in Iran striving for justice and liberty. "Today our people are fighting for a peaceful future without fear. Offering them practical and political support is our human duty," said Reza Pahlavi.
For context, Reza Pahlavi has been the crown prince of Iran since 1967. Sharing the fate of his father, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, he was forced to leave the country with his family after the 1979 revolution. Today, he lives in Los Angeles, USA, and leads the fight for Iran’s freedom as the founder and leader of the National Council of Iran. In his message, he emphasized that the time has come for the people of Iran and the whole world to unite in the struggle for freedom and peace. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
