Confrontation in the Middle East has reached a new and extremely dangerous stage. On June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officially announced the completion of the first phase of the “Rebellious Lion” military operation against Iran. This operation is already being called “historic” in Israeli history and was primarily aimed at destroying Iran’s nuclear projects, military bases, and missile infrastructure.
As part of the operation, the Israeli army targeted and eliminated more than ten high-ranking Iranian military officials. Additionally, major damage was inflicted on the country’s key military facilities, including the ground part of the Natanz nuclear complex. Several missile launchers were also destroyed.
According to official information from Tehran, at least 200 people were killed as a result of Israeli airstrikes, and more than 1,200 were injured to varying degrees. These numbers clearly demonstrate how large-scale and devastating the conflict in the Middle East has become.
In response to Israel’s harsh attacks, Iran launched a retaliatory operation called “Just Promise 3”. As part of this operation, the Iranian side repeatedly launched ballistic missile strikes on the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. As a result of the clashes, 24 civilians were killed in Israel, and nearly 600 people were injured.
These events have further aggravated the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. The growing number of casualties among the military, at nuclear facilities, and among civilians is causing serious concern for the international community.
This confrontation may result in the loss of the security balance in the region and open the way to large-scale military conflicts. The Zamin.uz editorial team will continue to closely monitor the developments and bring you the most urgent news.
