The artificial intelligence chatbot named "Ukun" has started operating on China's "Tiangong" space station, Kursiv.media reported.
It is based on a large language model and was delivered to the station on July 15 via the "Tianzhou-9" cargo spacecraft.
"Ukun" helps the crew plan complex operations, provide instructions, and deliver real-time information. During the third spacewalk, astronauts used this system to receive precise recommendations and highly rated its convenience and completeness.
Experts believe this experience will serve to expand the use of artificial intelligence in China's space programs, enhancing mission safety and efficiency.
