Uzbek Woman Stabbed to Death in Turkey

On September 21, in Istanbul, Turkey, it was reported that a 36-year-old Uzbek woman was stabbed to death in her home by an unidentified person, uz24.uz reported.

According to information, the victim had previously been deported from Turkey for violating residency rules and was banned from entering the country. It was later discovered that she re-entered Turkey under a changed name.

Turkish law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the incident.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul provided a statement on the case. The consulate is offering necessary legal and organizational assistance to repatriate the body to Uzbekistan and hand it over to the victim’s family.
