Hamas responded to the US plan

Hamas responded to the US ceasefire plan. The group said it was ready to release hostages under certain conditions. This decision gave hope to families in Israel.

According to the plan, fighting should stop, and within 72 hours hostages and bodies must be returned. In return, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners will be freed. Currently, Hamas holds 48 people, 20 of whom are alive.

Hamas agreed that Gaza would be governed by technocrats. But the issue of disarmament was not mentioned. This raises doubts in the Israeli government.

Donald Trump welcomed the response. He demanded Israel to stop bombing. But it is still unclear whether the ceasefire will be implemented.
