Dismissal of government employees has begun in the USA

A wave of large-scale layoffs has begun in the US government, White House Chief of the Budget Office Russ Wout announced on the social media platform "X," NBC News reports.

According to the information, the reductions apply to the departments of internal affairs, national security, treasury, education, energy, urban planning, and healthcare, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency. The number of dismissals was not officially announced.

Heads of the Health and Internal Security Departments called these measures a "fight against bureaucracy." This decision was made against the backdrop of a temporary interruption in government activities, and the White House preferred to lay off workers this time directly rather than temporarily.
