Energy worker in USA left jobless due to 187 thousand "photos"

An employee of the US Department of Energy, who has access to nuclear facilities, has been denied security permission for uploading more than 187,000 erotic photos to a work server. This was reported by the publication 404 Media.

It turned out that the man "accidentally" downloaded his personal pornographic archive to a government computer. He wanted to use these materials as a training base to create "robot pornography" based on artificial intelligence.

Six months later, colleagues noticed that tens of thousands of photos with open scenes had accumulated on the internal server and began an investigation. It turned out that the employee transferred the archive, which he had been collecting since the 1990s, to a desktop computer, but did not know that the system did not separate personal and corporate files.

The report notes that she had suffered from depression for years and felt "extremely lonely." During the interrogation, he admitted his guilt, but defended his actions as "not a major crime." He also expressed dissatisfaction with the "excessive strictness" of the leadership and compared the investigation process to the "Spanish Inquisition."

The employee filed an appeal after being deprived of security clearance. However, the results of the psychological assessment recognized his condition as serious, and the decision remained in force.
