US Plan to Maintain Peace in Gaza

US Plan to Maintain Peace in Gaza

US military from a center in the industrial area of southern Israel is working to create an international force to monitor Gaza’s fragile ceasefire and stabilize the area. The center includes US, British, and Canadian troops who manage aid and security flow.

The main goal of the international force is to help stop the war in Gaza. The US is not sending its own troops but plans to bring in soldiers from Egypt, Indonesia, and Gulf countries. However, Arab and other countries are hesitant to send troops without knowing the exact composition and duties of the force.

According to the plan, two groups will be formed: one to control the Israel-Gaza border and another to operate inside the enclave.

Problems remain: Hamas has not disarmed. If the international force is not established and Hamas does not disarm, Israel will be forced to resume military action. Therefore, the establishment of the force and the number of troops are still under negotiation.
