Swiss billionaire and founder of the Gunvor company, Torbjörn Törnqvist, may acquire Lukoil's international assets, including those in Central Asia. This was reported by foreign media outlets.
Currently, the issue of purchasing these assets is being considered by London and Washington. The value of the deal is estimated at 20 billion US dollars.
If Törnqvist manages to complete this deal, it could fundamentally change the order in the global oil market. According to media reports, the Russian side and the Swiss billionaire concluded the negotiations very quickly, with both parties requiring only three days.
It is noteworthy that Lukoil also owns assets in Uzbekistan, and the company's largest project in the republic is the Kandym gas processing complex. This complex has the capacity to process 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas annually.
So far, London and Washington have not approved the deal, but sources note that the agreement is expected to go through. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
