Angelina Jolie in Rafah: a humanitarian call for Gaza’s residents

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie visited the Rafah crossing point located between Egypt and the Gaza Strip as part of a humanitarian mission.

According to Egypt’s Al-Youm as-Sabia news portal, during the visit the actress met with North Sinai Governor Khalid Mughawhir. She also inspected the warehouses of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society where humanitarian aid intended for the people of Gaza is stored.

During her trip, Angelina Jolie also visited wounded Palestinians evacuated from the Gaza Strip who are currently receiving treatment in the Egyptian city of El-Arish. She called on the international community to increase the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the enclave and expressed gratitude to Egypt for its efforts in helping Palestinians in Gaza.

The actress’s visit once again drew public attention to the severe humanitarian situation that has emerged in Gaza.
