On January 3, explosions occurred in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and other regions. By decree of US President Donald Trump, a military operation has begun in Venezuela. Trump confirmed on his social media page that Venezuelan facilities were hit and that President Nicolás Maduro and his wife were arrested. US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau stated that Maduro's regime in Venezuela has been abolished and he will be prosecuted for his crimes.
The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the US of violating international law and asked the UN Security Council to take action. The US accuses Maduro of corruption and drug trafficking, emphasizing the dangers of drug trafficking through Venezuela and its impact on US security.
Uzbek analysts and social media activists are drawing attention to the fact that Donald Trump's actions in Venezuela contradict international law.
Farhod Karimov wrote: "The head of a state was kidnapped in broad daylight. This doesn't make any sense. We understood his motive, but I didn't understand that he didn't understand the consequences of doing whatever he wanted with such a method. Now everyone can do whatever they want. The consequences work against the US itself. Trump lost control."

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has led the country since 2013 and faced international condemnation after announcing his victory in the presidential election in July 2024. The US has announced a $50 million reward for capturing Maduro.
Furthermore, Trump's military actions in Venezuela could further complicate global politics and trigger new geopolitical conflicts.
