According to The New York Times, the main goal of this test was to ignite the seven powerful engines installed on the rocket's first stage simultaneously while holding it firmly in special structures. However, the process did not go as expected:
Technical failure: Flames suddenly swept up the sides of the rocket on the launch pad, and a terrifying explosion occurred within seconds.
Infrastructure damage: The resulting massive fireball destroyed the only launch pad built for this giant rocket, which stands nearly 98 meters tall, along with its expensive equipment. Engineers believe that restoring and repairing this unique launch complex could take at least several months.
