Marco Rubio: US offers $50 million for Maduro’s capture

Marco Rubio said the United States has set a $50 million reward for information that would help capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The US Secretary of State emphasized that the reward money is significant for uncovering the Venezuelan leader’s crimes.
It is reported that Maduro was repeatedly offered a peaceful resignation and “very generous” proposals, but Nicolás Maduro responded to these offers “foolishly.”
To hold on to power, Maduro rejected all US proposals and continued to act toward the Venezuelan people according to his own directives.
US efforts to capture Maduro are further complicating international relations and hindering any dialogue with Venezuela.
This decision, in turn, could further worsen Venezuela’s political situation and trigger new pressure. The US move to capture Maduro in defiance of international norms, along with its political and economic pressure on Venezuela, may lead to expectations of new shifts in international relations and diplomacy.
