The 18-year-old granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, Kai Trump, spoke openly about one of the biggest “difficulties” in her personal life — the fact that Secret Service officers always follow her around.
Kai said this on influencer Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, where he has 76 million subscribers. According to her, after the Secret Service entered her life, everything changed sharply: even ordinary situations started to feel strange.
“It’s really hard. When you’re sitting with your friends, with a group of girls, and a huge man is standing about a meter behind you — the mood changes automatically,” she says.
Kai emphasizes that this feels especially uncomfortable during dates: the agents turn into a “mood-killing factor.” “Honestly, being on a date with a guy and having him sit two tables away from you is truly uncomfortable. It’s a bit weird,” Kai says.
Kai said that after her grandfather Donald Trump was elected president in 2024, she had to “focus and imagine the guards as if they weren’t there.” In other words, normal youth exists on paper, but in reality you are always under supervision.
Interestingly, this problem is not only about Kai. It is said that her uncle Barron Trump experiences the same difficulties on dates. According to the Page Six tabloid, for Barron to go on a date, an entire floor of Trump Tower was supposedly checked.
Kai also said openly that she is not thinking about starting a family yet. According to her, her mother Vanessa Trump always teaches one thing: focus on your career first, and deal with the rest later. Kai has chosen the same path — first to develop her golf career and aim to win tournaments.
In short, the status of being the “president’s granddaughter” may look nice from the outside, but from the inside it means constant limits on an ordinary life. And the fun of youth… it comes together with the bodyguards, through a “pass.”
