In Iran, the internet has been completely cut off for a week.
This was reported by the international internet monitoring service NetBlocks.
The report notes that the Iranian government used this measure to conceal from the international community the methods used by security forces to suppress protests in the country.
Previously, videos depicting violence against protesters in Iran were also circulating online. The exact number of deaths in clashes between government and law enforcement agencies and protesters has not yet been officially announced.
This situation is being assessed as a political measure aimed at completely stopping internet access in Iran and depriving international observers of information.
