Thousands of houses in Kyiv were left without heat as a result of the attacks

The city of Kyiv experienced a difficult night again. As a result of the latest mass strikes carried out by Russia, more than 6,000 residential buildings in the capital were left without heat supply. This was officially announced by the city mayor, Vitaly Klitschko.
According to him, important infrastructure facilities in Kyiv were seriously damaged as a result of the attacks. In particular, problems have worsened in buildings connected to heating and utility networks.
"Almost 6,000 houses in the capital are left without heat again. Most of these houses were already connected twice or attempted to reconnect after the attacks on January 9th and 20th," Klitschko wrote.
At the same time, serious interruptions in water supply are also observed, especially in the left-bank regions of Kyiv. Specialists are carrying out urgent work to eliminate emergency situations, but the situation has not yet fully stabilized.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also responded to these attacks, emphasizing that the main target is the country's energy system. He added that, in addition to Kyiv and the Kyiv region, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions were also subjected to heavy strikes.
"In Kharkiv, the maternity hospital, the dormitory where the evacuees lived, the medical college, and residential buildings were damaged. To date, there are dozens of wounded, including children. The main target for Russians in and around the capital was energy facilities," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel.
The current situation is once again a serious test for the residents of Kyiv. On cold days, interruptions in heat and water supply have a serious impact on the lives of the population. At the same time, local authorities and rescue services are making every effort to restore the infrastructure.
