Kim Jong Un makes a nuclear threat to South Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced during a military parade dedicated to the ninth congress of the Korean Workers' Party that he was not even interested in communicating with South Korea and was ready to completely eliminate his neighbor if necessary. This was reported by Yonhap News Agency.

During the parade, Kim Jong Un emphasized that to improve relations with the US, Washington must respect North Korea's constitutional status and abandon its policy of hostility. According to him, this can form friendly relations between the two countries.

The North Korean leader instructed his aides to strengthen nuclear capabilities and develop new weapons systems. He spoke about plans to expand underwater intercontinental ballistic missiles, short-range missiles capable of targeting South Korea, and artillery systems.

According to Kim Jong Un, nuclear and missile programs in recent years have further strengthened North Korea's status as a nuclear power. He called nuclear weapons a "guarantee" of the country's security.
