Israel destroys Iranian leadership bunker in central Tehran

The Israel Defense Forces announced the destruction of a large underground bunker located in central Tehran, used by Iran's top leadership. During the military operation, about 50 Israeli fighter jets struck this strategic facility. According to an official statement, the structure served as the primary military command center for the Iranian government.

According to Israeli representative Effi Defrin, this bunker belonged to the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Although Khamenei was killed during airstrikes last week, other high-ranking Iranian officials continued to use the hidden facility, believing it to be safe. Israel emphasizes that this strike has significantly weakened the Iranian regime's command and control capabilities.

Tehran residents reported feeling powerful explosions and tremors during the strikes on the facility, which was located beneath residential areas in the city center. So far, no precise information regarding casualties from the attack has been provided. The Israeli military noted that targeting this bunker, which extended under several streets and had multiple entrances, was a crucial strategic move.
