Iranian government announced intention to continue war

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a sharp statement regarding the situation in the Middle East. He rejected the international community's calls for a ceasefire, emphasizing the need to continue the fight to ensure the country's security. According to Araghchi, actions taken by the US and Israel are harming civilians and hospitals, further complicating the situation in the region. Reports tengrinews.kz.
In an interview with NBC News, the minister recalled that Israel and the US had violated previously reached agreements. In his opinion, temporary truces are ineffective, and the war in the region must be stopped completely and permanently. Araghchi noted that Iran is not striking neighboring countries, but rather US bases and facilities located on their territory. Also, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to the residents of the region for the inconveniences caused.
Araghchi also warned against a potential US ground invasion. He emphasized that the Iranian military is ready to destroy any enemy that enters the country's territory. Although the Iranian side tried to prevent the war through diplomatic channels, external aggression has forced them to defend themselves.
