Forbes has released its latest ranking of the world's richest people. According to him, entrepreneur Elon Musk maintained the top spot on the list for the second year in a row.
Musk, the founder of Tesla, SpaceX, and the owner of the social network X, has a net worth of $839 billion. His investments have grown significantly, especially thanks to investments in the startup xAI and the success of SpaceX.
Google co-founder Larry Page took second place with a net worth of $257 billion. In third place is another Google founder, Sergey Brin, with $237 billion. Following them, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took fourth place with $224 billion, while Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg took fifth place with $222 billion.
It was reported that a total of 3,428 billionaires were included in this year's list, which is 400 more than last year. They possess a total wealth of 20.1 trillion dollars. The total investment of the top ten billionaires is estimated at $2.6 trillion.
Experts say that SpaceX plans to put its shares up for public auction in the coming years. If this process succeeds, Elon Musk's wealth will grow even further, and he could become the first person in history to have invested $1 trillion.
