Tangsiri: For peace, US bases must leave the Persian Gulf

Alireza Tangsiri, Commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Naval Forces, issued a statement on the issue of achieving sustainable peace in the Middle East. In his opinion, one of the main problems in the region is the presence of US military bases in the countries of the Persian Gulf.
Alireza Tangsiri emphasized that if peace and stability are truly desired in the Middle East, US military forces must withdraw from the Persian Gulf countries. According to him, the military presence of external forces in the region further complicates the situation.
The IAAF representative also stated that Iran has repeatedly warned the Gulf states about US geopolitical interests. He emphasized that Washington may not hesitate to sacrifice some regional states to achieve its goals.
Alireza Tangsiri also touched upon another important issue. According to him, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has already approved a military action plan for possible attacks. That is, there is a clear plan for Iran's response in the event of an attack by the US or Israel.
In addition, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also criticized Washington's strategic calculations. In his opinion, the US believes that the military operation against Iran will be short-lived and will not have a significant impact on the overall situation in the Middle East. However, according to Tangsiri, such views are incorrect and are the result of a lack of understanding of the situation.
According to the Iranian official, any conflict arising in the region could affect the security of the entire Middle East. Therefore, reducing the military involvement of external forces and solving regional problems through dialogue between local states is of great importance.
