Another special operation carried out by the US military forces has become the center of attention of the world media. Although two aircraft were lost during the military operations, the operation to rescue the American pilot was successfully completed.
According to reports, in order to gain time, false information was deliberately spread in the information field that the pilot had already been identified by Iranian forces and brought into the country. This was intended to hide the real rescue operations and confuse the enemy.
Intelligence information was quickly transmitted to the Pentagon and the White House. After that, the military urgently formed an operation and began evacuation work.
During the operation, US aircraft struck Iranian convoys. These actions were carried out in order to prevent enemy forces from reaching the pilot. Armed clashes were also observed during the operation.
The pilot, however, hid in a mountainous area and kept in touch with rescuers, turning on a special emergency beacon. His patience and composure were an important factor in the success of the operation.
The rescue mission was not easy: the US side lost two vehicles. Due to technical malfunctions at the base, some equipment failed, and the planes were blown up to prevent them from falling into the enemy's hands.
Three more planes were involved in order to complete the operation. As a result, the rescued crew member was taken to a safe area under the escort of special forces.
The first footage of the rescue process was filmed in the Kuh-e-Siyah district near the city of Kuhdasht in the Lorestan province. It turned out that the second crew member of the downed F-15E took refuge with the local population, but was soon surrounded by local armed groups.
A-10C+ attack aircraft and HH-60W CSAR helicopters were involved in the evacuation. The attack aircraft delivered precise strikes on enemy positions, clearing the way for rescue teams. Thus, the pilot was rescued before he was captured.
The Pentagon assessed this operation as one of the most complex special operations in modern history. US President Donald Trump stressed: “We will never leave an American fighter alone.”
This incident once again demonstrated the crucial importance of information warfare, rapid decision-making and technology in modern military operations.
