Majid Hademi, the head of Iran's IRGC intelligence, was reported to have been killed

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Majid Hademi, the head of intelligence for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), had been killed. He said Iran's leaders must constantly protect themselves, as Israel continues to identify and hunt them down.
The IRGC also confirmed that Hademi had been killed. Iran's Tasnim news agency reported that he died in a "terrorist attack" on the morning of April 6.
Majid Hademi was appointed to this position in June 2025. His predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi, was also killed in an Israeli strike. At the same time, it was reported that a number of high-ranking Iranian officials have been killed in recent months.
This incident has further exacerbated the tension in political and military relations in the region. According to experts, such strikes could have a negative impact on Iran's internal security system and create new threats to the country's leadership.
