Trump emphasized that Iran has no interest in closing the Strait of Hormuz, as it derives significant revenue from the movement of ships through this route.
He also noted that Iran's recent statements are aimed at maintaining its position under the current circumstances.
According to the U.S. leader, if decisions regarding the blockade are changed, negotiations with Iran may not take place at all.
